No mas victimas

No mas victimas

No violence against women - NO gender violence - and against all forms of violence.
This is the story of a paper found on the street.
Now taking on new life and deep meaning.
Sharon Tate is a symbol of these propaganda works.
The American actress, wife of Roman Polanski, died on Cielo Drive, Los Angeles on August 9, 1969 by the "Manson" family.
A story of violence that wipes out lives in a few minutes.
For once I would like to give importance to the face of the victim more than the face of her attacker.
"Sharon” is propaganda project against violence, born to be shown on the streets of Barcelona in 2021, and now painted in a great 2x2 mt canvas. I manipulated the original image in order to obtain Halftone illustration: the image was first projected and then outlined with a white pencil on dark background, and after filled with acrylics markers three times.
Decomposing the image into many dots and then redrawing them one by one on a real canvas, gives me the feeling of reassembling the fragments of these lives shattered into a thousand pieces. The process that then brings me back to recompose the image is like a mantra, like the creation of a mandala. In this photo of Sharon Tate it almost seems like she already had a premonition of what would happen.
